Mega-rare single by Stormy. Original US issue 45. Features the monstrous Funk-edged Northern Soul pounder “The Devastator“. This highly sought-after 7″ is a guaranteed floor-packer. Intended as an introduction to Stormy – the man, the myth, the legend – “The Devastator” is a boastful Proto-Funk number accented wonderfully by the thoroughbred backing musicians. “I Won’t Stop To Cry” has been a Northern Soul favorite from the scene since back in the Wigan Casino days. Released on Twinight Records in 1967.
⋆ Vinyl is in VG+ condition with some light hairlines and sleeve scuffs but none deep enough to impair the audio, or cause any skips, distortion, etc. Some mild surface noise, not at all overpowering. Small hole-punch on label/in deadwax. Still a good amount of gloss and shine. Looks good, sounds even better!
