We are pleased to present this rare vintage Lobby Card for your consideration. It is from the 1937 Western with the title Westbound Mail. The Movie starred Charles Starrett and was known for its classic tagline I'M USING BULLETS FOR POSTAGE STAMPS! The Lobby Card is mounted to a thin piece of wood which has been painted black, which complements the colors of the Lobby Card nicely.
The Lobby Card is 11 inches high and 14 inches wide. The backing board is slightly larger, measuring 11-7/8 inches high by 14-3/4 inches wide. Total weight is 10.1 ounces. The lower margin of the Lobby Card has several areas with text. In the middle is PRINTED IN U.S.A. On the right side is a Columbia Pictures Copyright, with the date 1935 or 1936. Letters are faintly visible on the left side, but too faint to make out.
There are a few areas of surface damage to the Lobby Card. The largest is above the hat of the Gunman on the left side where the paper has been scraped with some penetration all the way through. There is a smaller faint scrape starting at the woman's head and extending vertically to the top edge. There are a few other tiny spots including a pinhole in the jacket of the man on the right. The heavy stock paper of the Lobby Card shows darkening from age and has a few light soil spots. Despite the few flaws, the Lobby Card displays extremely well. We rate the overall condition as very good (see pictures).
